“How well I know with what burning intensity you live. You have experienced many lives already, including several you have shared with me ― full rich lives from birth to death, and you just have to have these rest periods in between.”
~ Anaïs Nin
I recently came across a discussion on a Tarot forum about what a person might be like when you have pulled the Death card for their personality. The answers from both amateurs and professional readers varied wildly from cowboy (???) to someone totally different to who you would normally date, to (the favourite answer) someone who will change your life.
While the latter is the least wrong answer, it still doesn’t answer what a Death personality is like, so I thought I’d break it down for people who are serious about learning how each of the 78 cards can reflect a specific personality type.
Death corresponds to Scorpio and the 8th House energies in the Zodiac. The 8th House is the house of sex, death and other people’s money. Scorpio is by far the most intense of the zodiac signs. In my experience the following 7 traits are expressed through the Death personality soul lens:
* Healthy sexual appetite
* Difficulty to detach from past
* Fascination with transformation / the occult
* Observant (makes a good spy!)
To which degree each of these 7 traits are expressed varies, of course but in a nutshell, there’s your Death Tarot card personality.
And let’s be very clear about this: When you pull a card, asking ‘What will the personality of my future partner be like?,’ the cards won’t tell you ‘You’re not meant to know’ by showing you the Death card. If this were the case, you wouldn’t be able to use the card for strong Scorpio energy personality in the deck and as someone who has a couple of Scorpio ex’s I know the need for that very well!
