Divine Non-Doing

Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answer.
~ William S. Burroughs

One of the hardest things to learn as a human is to be still and do nothing. The ego-mind loves to be busy. It doesn’t even care if what it is doing is productive, as long as it has a reason to stay busy.

That’s why we have the saying, ‘The Devil makes work for idle thumbs.’

The opposite of that, the conscious act of non-doing, is about trusting the answer to surface from within. It’s putting the ego to bed.

Mantras and various forms of pranayama can assist in this process of non-doing and opening up space within for Holy Spirit wisdom to arise.

Today is a day for productive non-doing. Today is a day to surrender to the divine stillness within.

The Four of Air from the Gaian Tarot (UK Amazon affiliate link) shows four blue eggs in a nest, doing what eggs are meant to do: nothing. But on the inside, a miracle is unfolding…

To get your wings, you must be still.
