Defeat is Optional

Our tarotized quote today is inspired by the 5 of Wands from the Thelema Tarot (UK Amazon affiliate link). We have just entered the month of Leo and this card corresponds with Saturn in Leo, highlighting any limitations imposed from within or without. In Leo those limitations are about confidence levels, playfulness, romance, children, taking centre stage and generosity.

Eclipse season which began yesterday sees us navigate TWO New Moons in Leo so getting this message now from the Tarot is hugely helpful. Being aware that we are challenged in these areas can help us face the challenges head on.

Will you perceive these challenges as tests that help you grow stronger or will you view them as obstacles.

When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
~ Wayne Dyer

Looking at things through a negative lens will make everything appear negative and you will bring yourself down through a downward spiral. Words like ‘difficult’ and ‘impossible’ have no meaning until we give them meaning. You can choose to see ‘I’m possible’ instead.

Will you choose your excuses today, or will you choose to push through them to your goal? We all have this choice and we all have challenges we need to push through.

See yourself as someone who chooses to tackle those challenges like a champion, Leo style. Believe that a solution to any challenge is out there and that the guidance you need to have YOUR breakthrough is available within you.

Surround yourself with the kind of people who support you in this process. Feed your mind and soul daily with the things that strengthen your resolve and give you a sense of peace so that you have the strength to keep going.

Here are some more quotes that qualify as a good fit for the 5 of Wands. Allow them to inspire an affirmation that keeps your energy high today…

Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly. -Robert F. Kennedy

Difficulties strengthen the mind, as labor does the body. -Seneca

A challenge only becomes an obstacle when you bow to it. -Ray Davis

My chosen affirmation for 24 of July:

I face my challenges joyfully, certain of victory. I am grateful for all of life’s lessons that make me stronger and wiser.

So much love!

Hi Greetings! Very beautiful message applicable not just for this Leo month but for all life situations. Personally true in my life as Universe constantly challenges me so that I learn and evolve in my mission as Lightworker. The beautiful part is that after all tribulations God helps us achieve the final victory in life! We must continue on our mission of Truth despite all hurdles & opposition, unlike those who choose to remain in darkness conforming to blind dogmas. Often the path is tough but the divine rewards are amazing! Blessings of Love & Peace to All – Amen! – Glory Dey

I could use some of your pure, compassionate energy. Got any to spare?

It’s what you connect with in meditation when you open up to the Divine. Try it. Another person can never become our source of compassionate energy. If we depend on others, we will always found ourselves disappointed. The source of love is within. When we connect with it, we usually end up attracting more of the kind of people you mentioned too… BUT without having to depend on them for the kind of energy you speak of.

People, family, run away from chronically ill people. But I’ll keep on reading around the corner at Sitwell’s Coffee House. (KarmaTarot, from Wm Lammey’ “Karmic Tarot”

All true. I meditate and do my Tibetan Buddhist practice every morning or I have a miserable day. I just turned 65 and the medical issues pull me from being disciplined. I have a root guru who guides me, and I can hardly bear to be around a lot of people. Thanks though . . . each person is SOO different and secretive.
