How do you receive your call to adventure? #herosjourneychallenge

day 3 hero's journey challenge king of swords tarot decoratif

“I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.”
~ Leonardo da Vinci

When the King of Swords from the Tarot Decoratif showed up to symbolise the call to adventure, it had me stumped for a while. It didn’t seem to fit with the concept of a blunder, I hadn’t received an invitation from a man (or any human) and I didn’t see how this courtier could represent a force

After pondering the King of Swords card in the context of the previous two cards and where I’m actually at, as well as the Astrological context of my transits this year (heavy-duty Pluto and Neptune stuff), I realise it fits best with a force being my call to adventure. I got drafted to be a Spirit Warrior in the army of the Divine Feminine, to help break down patriarchal thought paradigms.

This Gemini King also fits well with how much of the work I feel called to do takes place in the ether via the Internet. I am Gemini Rising and Mercury is my chart ruler. I even have a sword that looks like the one this King is holding…

thou shalt not pass

I realise I’ve gone a bit ahead of the challenge her by talking about the nature of my quest here too. Can’t wait for the Tarot to elaborate on this tomorrow. I know there are aspects waiting to be born that I’m not aware of yet…
